Beyond the Walls: How American Christians Can Transform Society Through Christ's Inclusive Love
As a believer in God Almighty and an American, I write this to put into perspective what American Christians need to do here in the United States to promote and expand the love of Christ. I do not have a degree in theology; I have the Bible. If the Bible is the inspired word of God, we Christians have FAILED in living the RED words from God.
We American Christians tend to think we are God’s chosen people. Guess what, ALL people on God’s created Earth are God’s chosen people. “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10. This says it all. The previous verses in Luke 19:5-9 clearly show ALL people are God’s children.
It's crucial to remember that Jesus' message was one of inclusivity and compassion. He reached out to those on the margins of society, offering them hope and redemption. As We American Christians, we MUST emulate this behavior. We must extend our love and compassion OUTSIDE the confines of our churches and social circles to encompass all of humanity.
In our current social and political climate, it's easy to become insular and defensive. However, the true test of the Christian faith lies in our ability to love unconditionally, just as Christ did. This means advocating for the marginalized, standing up against injustice, and being a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. It means showing kindness and empathy in our daily interactions and striving to understand and support those who are different from us.
Moreover, we must be careful not to confuse patriotism with religious duty. While it is important to love and serve our country, our primary allegiance should be to the teachings of Christ. This means that our actions and policies should reflect His love and compassion, rather than a desire for power or dominance.
American Christians have a profound responsibility to live out the teachings of Jesus in their everyday lives. This means embracing all people as God's chosen, promoting love and justice, and ensuring that our actions reflect the inclusive and compassionate nature of Christ's teachings. Only then can we truly expand the love of Christ and fulfill God's mission as His followers.
